Author Juliet Prowse has been invited to be part of two Exclusive Books panels as part of South Africa’s Women’s Day. Firstly on 6 August at Exclusive Books Constantia and followed up on 9 August at Exclusive Books V&A Waterfront.


Juliet honours the women in her life who influenced who she became – her mother, her grandmother and her aunt Juliet who her book Juliet Prowse: Born to Dance is about. Her dad and her brothers cannot be excluded from the role that that played as a human is influenced and supported by many with in their lives.
Women’s Day is celebrated annually in South Africa on 9 August and commemorates the 1956 historic march of 20,000 women to the Union buildings in Pretoria to protest the apartheid pass laws. This event was a symbol of women’s solidarity, strength and courage to raise their voices on a key human rights issue.
