To celebrate the launch of her biography Juliet Prowse: Born to Dance, Juliet (the author) is planning an initial launch at the LAMTA Academy at Theatre on the Bay on 7 April 2025. With Juliet, the dancer’s contribution to the world of entertainment and dance, the launch will include some theatrical elements for a sparkling celebration. Additional launches are being planned in Johannesburg and other locations, while US launches are currently being considered.

The main markets for Juliet Prowse: Born to Dance are the US where Juliet performed regularly from 1960 until 1996 and South Africa as Juliet was known as the South African girl who “made it” in the US. Juliet also performed in Australia and in London’s West End in Sweet Charity, Mame and I Do! I Do! She only became a US citizen after living in Los Angeles for 20 years and and was always considered South African. As Doug Gordon of the Rand Daily Mail said on reviewing her act in Johannesburg in 1976, “With her superbly drilled company, glittering visual stagecraft and Vegas all-star professionalism, her opening night was more than a success – it was a resounding victory. South Africa should be proud of their dynamic daughter!”
